Whether you want a reliable daily drive, a premium import, or a fixable project car at a great price, every single one comes with a full inspection report before purchase.

Locally used cars

Cars that have been driven in Kenya. Our inspection reports enable you to filter so you only see cars with no engine issues, no gearbox issues, no accident history, your call.

Filter by condition

Foreign imports

Sourced directly from Japan and other markets. Newer models, lower mileage, and a wider range of specs, all put through our 288-point inspection before purchase.

288-point inspected

Project & fixer cars

Want a great car at a lower price and happy to do some work yourself? We list cars with known issues fully declared, transparent condition and report shared.

Fully transparent condition
KNOW BEFORE YOU DECIDE

You know everything before you decide

For every purchase through My Car Kenya, the sale comes with a complete 288-point inspection report, and a certified mechanic available to walk you through every line of it. Explained jargon. A review of every issue.

01

Full 288-point inspection report before purchase

Every car's condition is documented across vehicle systems: engine, transmission, body, suspension, electrical, and documentation. You see our findings before you decide anything.

02

A certified mechanic explains the report

Not a salesperson. A qualified My Car Kenya mechanic sits with you and goes through the report in plain language. They explain the findings and tell you what to expect long term. Ask anything.

03

Filter by condition

Want a car with zero mechanical issues? Filter for it. Want a project car with a known gearbox issue at a great price? Filter for that too. See exactly what you prefer.

04

Fair, evidence-based pricing

Every price is set against the inspection findings and Kenyan market data. You can see the condition, and use the report to negotiate with confidence if anything warrants it.

MECHANIC WALKTHROUGH INCLUDED

A certified My Car Kenya mechanic sits with you, explains every finding in plain language, and answers your questions, before you spend a single shilling.

THE PROCESS

How buying works

From browsing to driving off, in 4 steps.

1

Browse & book a viewing

Find cars on My Car Kenya and filter by type, budget, and condition from the preliminary inspection of the car. Book a viewing at your nearest branch. Bring your ID and driving licence.

2

View, drive & review the report

View the car and take a test drive. If interested in purchase, get the full 288-point inspection report. A My Car Kenya mechanic will explain every finding in plain language. Ask anything, take your time, no pressure.

3

Agree & pay securely

Happy with the car? Payment goes through My Car Kenya Escrow, with funds held securely until ownership transfer initiation is confirmed. You can opt to finance the purchase through one of our financing partners if needed.

4

Drive off, fully sorted

We can facilitate the vehicle ownership transfer, help verify cancellation of the seller's insurance, and help arrange your cover through our insurance partners.

COME PREPARED

What to bring to a viewing

Two things are required to proceed with a purchase. If you're financing, bring your additional documents and we can process everything in one visit.

National ID or Passport

Required

Required for ownership transfer to your name via NTSA. Must be a valid, original document.

Driving licence

Required if taking a test drive

Needed to complete the test drive and for the insurance and transfer process.

Payment or deposit

If buying today

M-Pesa, bank transfer, or financing pre-approval. Payment goes into My Car Kenya Escrow, not directly to a seller.

Payslip and bank statement

If financing

Three months of statements or payslips for financing applications. Our team can guide you through what each lender needs on the day.

KRA PIN

Required for most financing

Required for most financing applications and for NTSA transfer processing.

YOUR VIEWING

What happens at a viewing

Here is what to expect through the viewing process.

Meet your My Car Kenya advisor

Your advisor greets you and takes you through the car you're interested in.

Walk-around & test drive

See the car in person and take it for a test drive. No pressure, no time limit.

Vehicle condition transparency

Review the preliminary vehicle report, or if available, go through the 288-point inspection report.

FINANCING

Finance your car, even older locally used ones

Don't have the full amount? We have financing options for almost every buyer, from older locally used cars through MFIs, to newer imports through our bank and MFI partners.

MFIs

For older locally used cars

Our MFI partners specialise in financing older locally used cars. As long as the car passes their grading criteria, you can finance it. Perfect if you're buying a reliable older model at a great price and need to spread the cost.

OUR FINANCING PARTNERS

Transparent Inspection

Inspected, verified, and fully disclosed. See the car's true condition before you buy or sell.

Fair Pricing

Priced according to the car's true condition, creating a fair market price deal for both buyers and sellers.

Secure Payment

We oversee the transaction and ensure payment is handled safely, giving buyers and sellers complete peace of mind.
